Jim Seaborg
Jim’s primary strength is in designing and building web applications that reengineer business processes, improve productivity, and enhance end-user collaboration. He combines the “hard requirements” with the “soft” subtleties of organizational behavior to come up with holistic solutions that end users enjoy using. He bridges the gap that often exists between management and programmers.
He is experienced in handling the entire project, including business analysis, functional design, prototyping, development, testing, implementation, training, and support. He takes an engineering approach when examining complex and interrelated business processes, breaking them down into pieces, and then systematically designing and building each piece for an integrated solution.
Selected Accomplishments:
- Developed ezCollaborator application to help organizations and their business partners work collaboratively on their day-to-day tasks and projects. It’s exceptionally good at task management where tasks are typically handed off from person to person and where multiple people need to track the status of seemingly chaotic workloads. ezCollaborator also has a collaborative projects module and an integrated timesheet and billing module.
- Since 1995, Jim has designed and built over 50 web-based, database-driven applications providing a wide range of business process solutions. These have included solutions like: business process management, collaboration, document distribution, reporting, e-Business, B2B integration, scheduling, billing, and estimating.
- Started out as a mechanical engineer with ExxonMobil Research & Engineering where he served as project portfolio prioritizer for over $100 M in projects. On one project, he redesigned a portion of a refinery expansion to go from $32.5 M to $3.5 M (saving $29,000,000).
